The 8000 Series is a thermally broken operable vent window system engineered to sit inside our storefront and curtain wall subframes, giving a sealed commercial glazing package a tested, code-compliant way to bring in fresh air. A polyurethane pour and debridge thermal break runs through the frame, paired with overlap vent construction and rigid corner key joinery for a durable, weather-tight seal around the operable sash. The subframe is available in two configurations — equal leg for storefront applications and unequal leg for curtain wall applications — so it integrates cleanly with whichever system it's paired with, using the same 1 inch glazing infill. Independent testing backs up the numbers: 0.133 L/s·m² (0.026 cfm/ft²) air infiltration at 75 Pa, no water penetration up to 720 Pa (~15.04 psf), and no structural breakage up to 3360 Pa (~70.18 psf), with NFRC-modeled U-values as low as 2.320 W/m²·K. Sizing ranges from a 17 inch by 17 inch minimum to a 60 inch by 48 inch maximum. Standard hardware includes 4 Bar Stainless Steel Hinges with a limit stop and Cam Handle Locks, with optional Roto Style Crank Operator, WOCD device, pole and pole ring, and insect screens with wickets to access cam handles — open-in and casement configurations are also available. Extruded screen frames and the system can be shop-glazed or field-glazed depending on project logistics.
