A direct route
Rigid Sun Tubes
A smooth, highly reflective aluminum light pipe transfers daylight from the rooftop collector to the ceiling. Rigid tubing is generally preferred when a reasonably direct route is available.
Elbows can navigate minor offsets, and extensions accommodate additional length. Keep bends to a minimum to preserve daylight transmission.

Flexible Sun Tubes
A flexible reflective aluminum tube can route around attic obstructions such as framing, ductwork and other services. This allows more freedom in positioning the roof opening and ceiling diffuser.
Choose flexible tubing when the installation cannot accommodate a reasonably direct rigid route.
