The useful decision

Use public brochures and architectural manuals for product discovery, and request project-specific testing or engineering documentation from the commercial team.

Start with the purpose of the document

Tell the team whether you are comparing systems, preparing an estimate, coordinating architectural details or assembling a project submission. A product brochure, architectural manual and laboratory report answer different questions. Asking for the intended information is more useful than assuming that every available PDF is the right document for your project.

Use public product literature

The Morrison Resources library includes relevant public brochures, architectural manuals and other approved customer-facing literature. Manufacturer literature can be relevant even when it originates from Acro Aluminum or another supplier. Confirm the series and document revision before relying on a detail; public availability does not establish that a document covers every possible configuration.

Request technical reports separately

Testing, energy-performance, thermal, NFRC and similar engineering reports are not public downloads on Morrison. Technical documentation is available upon request. Provide the system or series, project name and location, the requirement you need to address and any relevant drawing or specification reference. Do not assume that a result for one tested or simulated configuration applies to another.

Make the request easy to review

Identify the drawing revision, opening or elevation and the question that remains unresolved. Separate confirmed project requirements from assumptions or preliminary choices. If a deadline applies, include it as the requested schedule, not a presumed turnaround commitment. The commercial team can review the request and clarify the appropriate documentation.

Keep project approval separate

Receiving a brochure, drawing or report is not itself an approval of the proposed assembly or its suitability for the project. The applicable project professionals must coordinate the final selection, interfaces and requirements. Ask who is responsible for the required review or submission before treating a document as an order specification.

Bring this to the conversation

Project checklist

  • Name the product series or mark it as not yet selected.
  • Provide the project location and the question to be answered.
  • Identify the current drawing/specification revision.
  • Include the requested date and the responsible project contact.

Avoid assumptions

Questions worth answering

  1. Is this the current document for the proposed system?
  2. Does it address the exact configuration under review?
  3. Who must review or approve its use for this project?
